“天行健,君子以自强不息” — “As heaven maintains vigor through movements, a gentleman should constantly strive for self-perfection” or “As nature's movement is ever vigorous , so must a gentleman ceaselessly strive along.”
The quote above is from Chinese classic Book of Change and can be interpreted in many ways. To me, it teaches: 1. one should have the attitude and action striving for self-improvement or self-perfection; 2. the true and highest accomplishment can be only achieved through the self-driven power.
It is one of the principles on creating MAD Mandarin learning system.
